šŸ›ļø ā€œThose Who Stayed Silentā€ – A Masterclass in Losing Everything

By

History’s greatest hits, now playing in your condo lobby

šŸ“œ Lesson #1: The Titanic Passengers Who Trusted the Crew

Back in 1912, when the Titanic hit an iceberg, many passengers calmly sipped champagne because the crew told them everything was fine.
Result?
They sank. Literally sank.

Sound familiar?
Because here we are, residents, sipping our lattes while the S.S. Blenvale hits financial icebergs at full speed.

But hey, if the board says, ā€œIt’s under control,ā€ surely it must be true… right?

āš–ļø Lesson #2: The People Who Thought Watergate Was ā€œJust Politicsā€

In the 1970s, lots of Americans dismissed Watergate as boring ā€œpolitical noise.ā€
They didn’t ask questions.
They didn’t demand accountability.

Turns out, the President was committing crimes in broad daylight.
But silence kept him in office far longer than it should have.

Fast-forward to us:
If you don’t ask why we’ve spent $300,000 on unwinnable lawsuits, don’t be surprised when the board starts acting like Nixon with a shredder.

šŸŽ© Lesson #3: Marie Antoinette and the ā€œLet Them Eat Cakeā€ Fan Club

France, 1789.
The monarchy burned through public funds while people literally starved.
When the starving masses asked for help, the Queen allegedly said:

ā€œLet them eat cake.ā€

And the people stayed quiet… until they didn’t.
Spoiler: There were guillotines.

We’re not suggesting pitchforks (yet).
But if you stay silent, don’t expect your condo fees to stay where they are – just expect the financial equivalent of a guillotine on your wallet.

šŸ‘ Lesson #4: The Great Condo Sheep Movement (2025 Edition)

We now proudly present you, dear silent resident, as part of an elite club:

The Condo Sheepā„¢ šŸ‘

Your perks include:

  • Paying for legal battles you didn’t agree to 🧾
  • Watching your fees skyrocket while hearing ā€œwe had no choiceā€ šŸ“ˆ
  • Nodding politely at townhalls while your money magically disappears šŸŖ„

Congratulations. You are history’s favorite kind of audience: passive.

šŸ“¢ Speak Up or Pay Up

October 8th’s townhall isn’t optional.
This is where you demand transparency, call out abuse, and remind the board:

They. Work. For. You.

Because here’s the moral of every historical disaster:
Silence isn’t neutral.
Silence is permission.
And you can’t complain about the fire after you handed them the matches.
