📜 The Great Portal Denial

By

Ah, Daphne, Millicent’s boss, our fearless keeper of outdated wisdom. With a straight face and the confidence of someone who just discovered email last Tuesday, she declared:

“It’s not the law to have online portals!”

👏 Bravo. Truly groundbreaking. Next week, perhaps she’ll inform us it’s also not the law to have electricity, elevators, or indoor plumbing. After all, the Condominium Act of 1872 (in her imagination) clearly requires us to communicate via carrier pigeon and post notices on parchment nailed to the laundry room door.

Let’s be honest: Daphne isn’t against portals because of the law. She’s against portals because portals leave a trail. And nothing terrifies our dear management more than digital receipts. Can’t have the peasants (sorry, “owners”) scrolling through minutes, bylaws, or – heaven forbid – budgets at their leisure.

So Daphne, thank you for clarifying what isn’t “the law.” Here’s a short list to help:

  • Not the law to brush your teeth.
  • Not the law to use deodorant.
  • Not the law to manage money responsibly.

But hey – some things we just do anyway, because we live in the 21st century.
