🧠 I Remember What Real Fear Feels Like
I grew up in a communist country.
I was young when it collapsed, but I still remember the atmosphere:
- 😶🌫️ People whispering in their own homes
- 🚫 Those who spoke up “disappeared”
- 🧱 A system built on fear and obedience
Even back then, as a child, I couldn’t play along.
I questioned teachers.
I challenged authority.
I refused to shrink – in a place where speaking up was actually dangerous.
🔥 If I Didn’t Stay Silent Then, I Won’t Now
Let’s be absolutely blunt:
If I didn’t keep my mouth shut under communism,
I sure as hell won’t stay quiet for a condo board.
Not in Canada.
Not in a G7 country with:
- 📜 A Charter protecting my rights
- ⚖️ Courts that actually function
- 📰 Free press
- 🛡️ Human Rights Code
- 🧾 A paper trail they can’t erase
There is no “danger” here – just a few people who get uncomfortable when the truth is spoken out loud.
🏢 Pretend Tyrants Don’t Scare Me
I lived through a world where authority could ruin your life.
Now I’m dealing with a board that:
- 💸 Can’t balance a budget
- 📉 Devalues property
- 📚 Doesn’t follow the law
- 🫣 Panics when questioned
Do they really think they’re the ones who will silence me?
Please.
💪 I Survived Worse – and I Speak Up Because I Can
I know what real oppression looks like.
I know what real silence costs.
And I know what courage feels like – because I had it long before any of them had titles.
If childhood me could speak up in a dictatorship,
adult me isn’t bowing to anyone in Blenvale.
Not today.
Not ever.
