(Some of them. You know exactly which ones.)
Today, while leading an internal project on enabling AI across the organization, I met with a co-worker/friend I genuinely respect. Smart. Sharp. Zero tolerance for nonsense. She was assigned to my project.
And we both said it at the same time:
“I can’t wait for AI to replace people.”
Let’s be clear before the outrage machine spins up:
This is not about replacing humans.
It’s about replacing behaviour that should never have been protected by a paycheck.

🌱 When I Was Selected to Lead This Project, I Was Genuinely Happy
Not the loud kind of happy.
Not the LinkedIn-announcement kind.
The quiet kind.
The kind that settles in and says: yes – this is right.
🧠The Real Problem Isn’t AI – It’s People Who Never Think
Here’s the uncomfortable truth no one wants to say out loud:
Most organizations are not slowed down by lack of talent.
They are slowed down by:
- People who don’t read
- People who don’t listen
- People who don’t connect dots
- People who confuse process with intelligence
- People who survive by blocking, delaying, and “reviewing”
AI terrifies them for a reason.
đź“‹ AI Will Replace the Worst Parts of Corporate Humanity
AI doesn’t:
- Take things personally
- Protect its ego
- Hoard information
- Schedule meetings to avoid decisions
- Say “let’s circle back” instead of doing the work
AI reads the whole document.
AI applies rules consistently.
AI doesn’t need hand-holding, flattery, or office politics.
If your job exists solely because you are a human bottleneck, your fear is justified.

🔥 The Myth: “AI Will Replace Creativity”
No.
That’s cope.
AI replaces:
- Repetitive analysis
- Administrative drag
- Fake expertise
- Busywork masquerading as value
What it exposes is who was never creative, strategic, or insightful to begin with.
🪞Why Smart People Aren’t Afraid
The smartest people I know are excited – not threatened.
Why?
Because AI:
- Frees them from idiot tasks
- Removes the need to explain the obvious repeatedly
- Lets them focus on judgment, synthesis, ethics, vision
AI doesn’t replace thinkers.
It amplifies them.

⚠️ A Brutal Reality Check
If AI can replace you, your job was already intellectually hollow.
And that’s not cruel – it’s honest.
For decades, organizations rewarded:
- Compliance over curiosity
- Seniority over competence
- Loud confidence over actual understanding
AI doesn’t play that game.
And that’s why it scares people.
🚀 The Future Isn’t AI vs Humans
It’s AI vs Mediocrity
The sooner we stop pretending otherwise, the better.
And yes – I can’t wait!
