If you’re here just for the titillation and gossip – congratulations, you’re a loser. You could be watching a soap opera, but instead you’re scrolling through real life like it’s your personal drama buffet.
This isn’t entertainment. This is education. You should be reading to understand your rights, to learn how systems work (and how they fail), and to know how to protect the vulnerable among us.
We had the means, the knowledge, and the stamina to fight back – for ourselves and for others. But many do not. Vulnerable people often cannot advocate for themselves.
But what happens when the next target is someone with limited English skills? Someone without a university degree? Someone who has no idea how to file a complaint, write a legal letter, or stand their ground?
We fought because we could. And we’ll keep fighting. But the day you decide to put down the popcorn and pick up the facts might just be the day you help protect someone who can’t protect themselves.
Until then, you’re just a spectator in someone else’s nightmare – and that’s not a great legacy to leave behind.
